Paco Rabanne: Olympea Perfume

I originally came to love Olympea Perfume by Paco Rabanne when I received a sample of it from a blog event a few months a go. After debating whether to buy it at airport duty free, I decided to be sensible and wait till I had used some of my other perfumes, look at me all, grown up! When Christmas day finally came around, I was really surprised to find it in the bottom of my stocking.

Since the big day I have been wearing it all the time. I'm sure we all have those perfumes that we try and save for special occasions, well I couldn't resist using this one for important days, work days or even lazy days, I just love it.

I'm not very good at describing scents but through research, I found that the different notes are:
Top: Green Mandarin, Ginger Lily, Hydroponic Jasmine
Heart: Salted Vanilla
Base: Sandalwood, Ambergris

However, my description of the scent would just be timeless. It's something that you, your Mum or even your Nan could wear. I know that this perfume is going to become a classic staple in my collection for some time.

  1. I always wait for Christmas for perfumes - I got Penhaligon's Juniper Sling this year which is amazing (if not a by gin scented!!). Will have to give this one a try when I see it in the shops!

  4. I'm a total sucker when it comes to perfume, I NEED TO SMELL THEM ALL! I'm so intrigued by that salted vanilla note, will definitely have to give this a sniff next time I'm in duty free.

It's so important to have a failsafe perfume you can always rely on for any occasion!

    Sinéad ♥ fabuleuse, toujours ♥
