7 Reasons to go travelling

If you've read my blog for a little while then you'll know that I am a massive travel lover. I encourage anyone and everyone to go travelling the benefits to are endless. Here are just 7 reasons I think it's important to travel...

MEET NEW PEOPLE
I can't tell you the amount of people I have met while travelling. Meeting people from places all around the world has to be my favourite part of travelling. I really believe the people that you travel with make the experience, and I have been really lucky in the past with the people I have met, especially those who have become friends for life.

DISCOVER NEW PLACES
There is so much of the world to see, and the list for me, is always growing longer. One of my favourite things about travelling is falling in love with places you didn't even know about. I've been on quite a few trips now, where the places that are consider less 'touristy' have been my favourite.

LEARN
There is so much to learn when it comes to travelling, so much history about each place you visit and it is so interesting to be stood in a place that may have been a part of historical significance.

TRY THE LOCAL DELICACY
If you are a foodie like me, then you will love trying all the different food at every place you visit. Patisseries in France, Gelato in Italy and cheese steaks in Philadelphia, the list of options are endless.

LEARN MORE ABOUT YOURSELF
Travelling can put you in all kinds of situations you never expected to see yourself in and can really push you out of your comfort zone. This can really make you grow as a person and learn more about yourself. Travelling for me, almost feels like stepping out of reality, and really gives you the opportunity to look at yourself in a different way.

EXPERIENCE A DIFFERENT CULTURE
There are so many different cultures out there and it is so interesting to see how other people live their lives. Each place your visit, you will learn new things, and understand the people who live there better. Even just a quick chat with a local can be fascinating.

OPENS YOUR EYES
Visiting new places really opens your eyes to what's out there, particularly if you are anything like me, and live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Travelling can really put everything in to perspective and make you realise how much is out there.
