Last Saturday, as my Mum was visiting, we decided to catch the short train ride to Bournemouth. Surprisingly I've never been before, despite it only being a 30-minute train ride away. I tweeted before about some good places to check out and some lovely girls on twitter gave me some great pointers.

Naturally, we headed to the beach first, it was a little windy but as someone who loves the seaside, it was great being by the coast. I took so many pictures of the different coloured beach huts as I loved how they gradually changed colour, luckily I narrowed it down to 3 pictures for this blog post. After taking a long walk along the beach, walking down the pier and playing in the amusements, we decided to walk into town to explore the shops. I'll be honest, I didn't realise quite how many hills Bournemouth had, but it was nice to have a good walk. We had a little walk to the shops and decided to go for cake and tea in a little coffee shop nearby.

I had an absolutely fabulous time in Bournemouth and would definitely like to go back really soon. As much as I love Southampton, I just wish it had a beach as beautiful as Bournemouth

Have you been to Bournemouth?

  1. Bournemouth is down as my second choice for Uni so seeing this post has made me really excited! I've not managed to venture down there yet but I'm looking forward to doing it :) is there anywhere in particular you would recommend going?

  2. I've been to Bournemouth a couple of years ago and really liked it! Although I didn't see very much of the city, I really enjoyed the beach and the cute beach huts! I agree, I wish we had such a nice beach in Southampton! :) xx

  3. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your day out in Bournemouth, it is so beautiful, wish I lived there but I guess we are lucky enough to live close enough to pop down there for the day. Hopefully you'll be going there more often! xx

  4. Happy that I found your blog! Really like it!

  5. I've never been to Bournemouth. But I want to do like a trip around the UK coast soon. Brighton, Hove, Bournemouth... Seems like a good plan!

  6. Love Bournemouth and went a couple of years back, there was a very cool man dancing on the beach and I was told that he is there a lot! Lo and behold I just found him on You Tube :) Look up 'Dancing man Bournemouth beach' xx
