The 1975

I feel like I haven’t done a Music post in such a long time, but in all honesty there hasn’t been a whole album that I have been obsessing over or playing on constant repeat... Until now (dun, dun, dun).

Ok, so this album has actually been out forever, but if I’m still listening then surely that’s a good thing? I can’t quite explain it, but I’m sure we have all had an album on our playlist that we’ve enjoyed for quite a while but one day hear it and are shocked we never paid more attention to it. Well that’s what happened to me a few weeks ago. The 1975 album is just that.

What I like most about the album is the electro sound that accompanies every song. Their alternative style is so catchy and as soon as I have one of their songs stuck in my head, it’s near impossible to get it out, not that I'm complaining.

What albums, old or new have you been loving recently?

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

A few months ago I posted a Body Shop haul where I had purchased a small bottle of Tea Tree Oil after I heard how good it was great for spots and imperfections. As a long-term acne and spot sufferer I was a little dubious as to whether something so simple would make a significant difference.

Well I guess I take it all back, because I absolutely love this stuff, I swear it is a little bottle of wonder. I started applying it everyday to the problem areas, particularly my acne and noticed such a difference within a matter of days. Not only had the swelling gone down, but also they were no longer tender or sore. Plus, I personally love the smell.

Since it’s initial effects on my acne, I have been apply it as and when it’s needed on small blemishes and spots and so far, still no complaints. I’m not saying this will make your spots disappear overnight, but if you are anything like me, you will notice a difference straight away.

Let me know if you’ve ever used tea tree oil and how you felt it worked for you, is it a best kept secret?

A few weeks ago, my housemate and I decided to go on a little walk around Southampton. I've lived here now for over two years, and although I don't see myself staying here forever, I love how it's not the concrete jungle you would expect.

When I first came to Southampton for my University interview, I knew this was the right place for me. Moving from a small town in the country, I didn't want to be submerged in tall buildings and busy streets. I'm not sure exactly how many parks their are in Southampton, but along with the docks, they are my favourite place. It's hard to believe that your actually in a city, with Primark and Topshop just round the corner.

I'm not quite sure how I'll cope when I leave next year, but I know I will certainly miss this place, along with the people I have met here *tears up* anyway, I'm trying not think about that just yet.

New Look Autumn Wishlist

| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |

Am I the only one who feels like New Look have been consistently spot on these past few months?
Every time I head into New Look I aways seem to buy something. Their clothes have just been so on trend recently.

I especially love the black and white dress, I actually think that this is stunning, and as a bigger lover of monochrome and dark prints, this couldn't better. In complete contradiction to that, the light blue coat is simply adorable. I've really been interested in 60s mod fashion recently, so as soon as I saw this coat I fell in love... if only my bank account would allow it!

Presure is most definitely building up with University work at the moment, and in honesty, I'm feeling a little lost. Where has the fun of freshers year gone? Probably hidden somewhere behind this stack of dissertation books!

The Autumn Tag

I’m so glad that Autumn is here, so when I saw this tag on Ami’s blog I knew I
had to do my own.

 1. Coffee - What's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks or
any other coffee shop?
I don't drink coffee, but I really love grabbing a hot chocolate when the
weather is cold.

 2. Accessories - What do you opt for, scarf, boots or gloves?
I love my autumn boots, I have about 6 pairs now and am trying to refrain
from buying anymore. I’ve just bought a tartan scarf and am obsessed
with wearing it with every outfit.

3. Music - What's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
I listen to all sorts of music all year round. Of course, as soon as
Halloween is over the Christmas songs start being played. At the moment
I’ve rediscovered my love for The 1975s album and keep listening to
it on repeat.

4. Perfume - What's your favourite scent for this time of year?
I really love wearing Loverdose by Diesel, it’s my go to scent especially in

5. Candles - What scents will you be burning this season?
My favourite autumn candle is definitely Yankee Candle 'Snow in Love'. I
bought the small tea lights last year so I can’t wait to get a big jar this time round.

6. What do you love best about Autumn?
I love the anticipation for Christmas and going on long walks when the leaves
are turning orange and brown. Plus, nights snuggled up on the sofa with a
movie are just perfect.

7. Favourite make up look?
I love darker makeup and brown shades in Autumn, I tend to keep the basis of
my makeup the same and go for a darker lip colour or browner eyeshadow.

8. What are you looking forward to the most in the Autumn?
I’m going away in a few weeks to Center Parcs and I honestly can’t wait.
It’s one of my favourite places to visit and I can’t wait to go just
before Christmas.

Please let me know if you do this tag, and what's your favourite part of Autumn
