The Reading Tag

I wasn't specifically tagged by anyone to do this tag, but I saw it on my friend's (caffrinc) blog and thought it would be perfect for me.

Do you have a certain place for reading at home?
I enjoy reading in bed or snuggled on the sofa with a blanket.

Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I try to usually just remember the page number I'm on, but this fails near enough every time and I have to flick through the pages trying to find my spot. I'm thinking a bookmark might not be a bad idea!

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter or a certain number of pages?
I HAVE to finish the chapter. It is extremely unlikely that I will put down a book half way through a chapter, I feel like I need to finish that part of the story.

Do you eat or drink when reading?
Not really, it's hard to eat and hold a book at the same time, sometimes I will have a drink. I tend to find that a nice cup of tea goes well with a book.

One book at a time or several at once?
One at a time. I tend to get quite obsessed with most books I read, so don't think I could concentrate on more than one in a go.

Reading at home or everywhere?
I mostly read at home, but when I'm going on long train journeys between uni and home, I tend to take a book a long with me.

Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Silently in my head. although, I do find myself occasionally reading certain parts of conversations out loud as I think it helps me better understand the way a character is saying something, strange, I know!

Do you ever read ahead or skip pages?
No, that could ruin the ending!

Breaking the spine or keeping it new?
If a book is brand new, I like to keep it looking nice. Most of my books come from charity shops however, so a lot of those are already quite tatty. I don't mind it though, it means someone else has enjoyed the book as much a me.

Do you ever write in books?
I've never really had reason too, apart from when I was taking my GCSEs or A levels.

What are you currently reading?
I am just about to start a book called 'Happily Ever After' by Harriet Evans.

If you read lots do, please do this tag and let me know!
