Missguided Wishlist

| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |

I've never really ordered anything from Missguided before, I'm not sure why as they have some lovely things on there. Sometimes items appear a little short for my body shape or perhaps not the most flattering for me. Nonetheless, I couldn't help looking on the site, they have got some absolutely gorgeous pieces that I am so tempted to buy!

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that floral shirt?! It is so beautiful and I absolutely love the blue flowers. Ok, pretty convinced I'm going to buy this already! I absolutely love the denim jacket too, I bought one last year and it was just far to baggy making me look mahoosive. What I really like about this one is, while it still looks relaxed, it's quite fitted. Ok, starting to think I might buy this too! The other item that I'm practically at the checkout with is the black and white checked blazer, this is seriously beautiful and could be dressed up or down.

The problem I have with writing these posts is that I have to write a few sentences about why I like an item, making me think, well if I like it this much maybe I should just buy it, like now!

Evening Dress Envy

All Dresses From Aviva Dress

I can't quite believe that I only have a year left of University before I head out in to the big scary world of work! With GCSE results out yesterday, it feels crazy that it has been 4 whole years since I stood anxiously outside my own school with the envelope clutched in my hand. With prom season still in full flow and my mind already on my graduation ball next summer, I'm of course thinking about what I will be wearing. Eager?! Yes. Plus, the fact that I actually need to graduate first. None the less, there aren't many opportunities in life where you get to dress up like a Princess for the evening so I will be taking full advantage of mine! Despite hoping to be several stone lighter by next year, I couldn't help having a sneaky look at some dresses already! After all, there is a lot of thought that goes in to a dress, colour, length, material and I want to get it right. My post A Level prom dress ended up being quite a fail, after I bought a cheap dress from Ebay that certainly looked cheap. This time round, I'm looking for something affordable but great quality.

There seems to be a definite colour theme with dresses I picked above but I was quite spoilt for choice on I'm just really loving white, greys and blues at the moment. I think colours like that are timeless, although Aviva Dress do have so many colours, your bound to find something if mine don't take you fancy. Flicking through the dresses online made me wish I was a famous film star and could wear dresses like this all the time, (getting slightly distracted!) I think for my graduation ball I would want to wear a long prom dress, although the website do offer short prom dresses if that's what your were looking for. I think my favourites from the ones I picked is the second one on the bottom row. It is so effortlessly beautiful that I'm already thinking about snapping it up for next year. Relaxed curls in the hair and a warm smokey eye would go perfectly with this dress. Ok, I'm getting way to ahead of myself. If you are heading to a more relaxed event or just prefer shorter dresses, I really like cocktail dresses at the moment and have been trying to find a reason to buy one. (Ok, I need to get out more!) I wore a cocktail dress from my end of school prom and it was perfect to boogie down on the dance floor wearing (did I really just say that?!)

Sun, Sun Has Gone Away OOTD

Dress- Internacionale
Jacket- Peacocks
Tights- Primark
Boots- Ebay
Quick question, where has summer gone?!
Last time I checked August wasn't supposed to filled with BBQs, too many cocktails and never ending days. Instead of sitting on my sun lounger, I've been relegated to sitting inside with my Christmas jumper on (Christmas pudding pom poms and all!) I didn't expect to be bringing out the tights so soon but it seems that autumn is on the way and I might as well start while I'm ahead. If I'm completely honest, I quite enjoy wearing my black dress, so I guess the dull weather does have at least one up side! Part of me can't wait for it to get a little colder as I am so excited for autumn fashion, but when its supposed to be summer I expect it! Ok, enough about the weather now, I sound like my Grandad!

The boots I'm wearing are from Ebay and I bought them just before Christmas last year. I love them, because I feel like they are something you could wear all year round, both in the day and at night, in other words, extremely versatile! As for the jacket, I actually bought it a few weeks ago from Peacocks for about £15 in the sale. I absolutely love it haven't taken it off since I bought it, I love the contrast of the pattern and the tailored style of the jacket... it boooutifull!

Bedroom Inspiration

Wow, just look at the pictures makes me excited!

I have been planning on decorating my room for a few months now, and after much decision I have finally decided how I want it (I think). I've known for quite a while that I have wanted the walls white as not only will this brighten up my room, it would also allow me to change the colour theme at any point. I've been looking at pictures online for so long and thinking about the 'dream room' I want. I'm planning on moving back home after Uni for a few years so I want to make sure I get it right without spending ridiculous amounts. After making endless mood boards and scrolling through tumblr for hours, I think I have narrowed it down to a few ideas. Coincidentally  my whole house is being recarpeted so I'm also getting a light laminate flooring which I can't wait to see. I'm so excited to show you the room when it's finished. Above are some of the images I have been obsessing over and trying to incorporate parts into my own room. I really can't wait to see the outcome and post about it on my blog! Expect it in the next few weeks.

Pretty Little Liars

This month I have been absolutely loving Pretty Little Liars. It is a shows I have been thinking about watching for a long time after hearing so many recommendations about it, and I am so glad I finally decided to sit down and give it a go.

The story revolves around a group of 4 girls all stuggling to come to terms with the disapearance of their best friend Alison. When Alisons body is found, the groups devastation is made worse by a series of anonymous texts they begin to recieve threating to reveal their biggest secrets, each texting ending with 'A'. As they try to discover who killed Alison and who is responsable for the texts they begin to realise their whole world isn't as it seems.
Quite intriguing really! I think the main reason that I love this show so much is because while it has the essence of a thriller, with murder, deception and betrayal, it also has the components of a typical high school programme, with teenagers dealing with boy, school work and growing up. It is a refreshing spin on the sometimes generic adolenscent programmes that have been on TV.

I also thinks that it is a great show to watch with your boyfriend or male friends as it has something for everyone. I am finally up to date on all the episodes after having watched in non-stop for the past few weeks, I really feel like I am live in Rosewood now. If you are looking for something new to watch that you haven't come accross before that I would really recommend this. Plus everyone (and I mean everyone) in this is ridicuously beautiful so even if you just sit there admiring them all, it's worth it!

Monochrome Fashion Thirst

Although I have been absolutely loving pastel colours (especially blue) this season, I think any black and while clothes are great staples to have in anyones wardrobe. As much as I want summer to last, my mind is already thinking about getting my autumn wardrobe ready, and I'm already excited as I love some of the trends that are coming this way. I have been on the hunt for a white jacket for a while and I especially love this one from Topshop and I think that it immediately dresses up any outfit. I am also loving checked and dogtooth trousers at the moment, not only are they comfortable but they are also a key trend at the moment and I can't wait to get a pair of my own. As for those chelsea boots, just look at them, need I say more?!

The Body Shop Haul

I think I'm in love!
I finally caved in and decided to treat myself to a few things from The Body Shop. I have been tempted for quite a while and have heard so many great things about their seaweed clay mask. It was actually during a #bbloggers chat that I decided to treat myself (those girls are such enablers!) I knew a few things I wanted and when I found a voucher code that allowed me to get £20 off when I spent over £40 I immediately started loading up my basket. Knowing how well known their body butters were, I couldn't resist adding a raspberry one to my order. The tea tree oil was something I wasn't completely sure about and added partly to get my order to reach £40. I have only used all these products once but I really loved the tea tree oil. It smells so strong but I could actually feel it working and hopefully it will make a difference to my troublesome acne.

I picked the body butter in the scent raspberry as there were far too many to choose from. I think this smell is perfect and fruity for summer. As for the cleanser, this was recommended to me by quite a few bloggers, so temptation took over and I had to add it to my bag, so far so good!

I'm sure I will be reviewing all things products soon, stay tuned!

Music Monday: Troye Sivan

"Oh, glazed eyes, empty hearts, buying happy from shopping carts"

I love sharing songs that I can listen to on repeat over and over again. Despite the full EP not even having been released yet, I have been listen to Happy Little Pill by Troye Sivan constantly since I bought it.  The song is extremely addictive and if you haven't listened to it yet, then I really suggest you do.

I've been watching Troye's Youtube videos for well over a year now so I may be slightly biased when I talk about how great this song is. I feel however, when you know how hard someone has worked on something, you can appreciate their music on a completely different level. I can't wait for the full EP to be released as I can only expect good things from Troye and I know for sure that it's going to be hit.

What music have you been loving this month?

Homemade Lemonade

Homemade lemonade is the perfect refreshing summer drink. Served ice cold with a slice of lemon, it's great to have with BBQs and picnics. I have been making my own quite a lot recently and I absolutely love it. Not only is it super quick to make, but it also looks really nice. This recipe will take around twenty minutes at the most to make, and you can do it faster once you know how to.

There are only 3 ingredients in this recipe, listed below:
6 Lemons (plus more for decoration if desired)
400ml of sugar
1L of water

It's so easy to make, just follow the instructions below!

1.Wash and dry the lemons, then roll them on a hard surface to loosen the skin.
2. Zest 2 lemons (you can use a zester or a grater for this.)

3. Juice the remaining lemons and sieve to get rid of any pulp or seeds. Leave to one side.
4.Heat 350ml of the water, the lemon zest and sugar together for around 5 minutes on medium heat or until the sugar has dissolved. Keep stirring and do not let boil.

5. Strain the lemon and sugar water to remove the zest.
6. Pour both the sugar mixture and lemon juice into a pitcher and add the remaining 650ml of water. (You can add some vodka or sparkling water if you prefer)
7. Store in the fridge and serve cold.

As you can see it's a super simple recipe that is a perfect refreshing choice on a warm summer day.

This is something a little different for me, so let me know if you enjoyed it!
