I always think of 19 as such an in
between age, as if in limbo. I'm in my final year of being a teenager and while
I want to hold on to the precious years of being in my teens, I am ready to
grow up (slightly). So 19 it was. It was so strange having my birthday away
from home. Luckily, my mum had brought me back to Uni after spending the
weekend at home and decided to stay for a couple of days. It was really nice to
have her here and she put in so much effort to making sure my birthday felt as
special as normal. I was extremely lucky with the presents that I received this
year and I really can't wait to start reading, using and scribbling in them. I
really want to do more posts in the future about some of the things that I got
in closer detail but thought I would take pictures of a some of the things I
was lucky enough to receive this year.
I
was really happy when I found I had got the Diffuser Perfume I had asked for.
As I'm not allowed candles in my room at Uni, the diffuser is perfect for adding
a nice fragrance to my little box of a room. For someone who loves little
pieces of jewellery, I was so happy when I opened a card from my cousin to find
she had made me some bracelets. There something so personal and individual
about handmade gifts and definitely something I want to think about in the future.
The main thing I asked for this year was
a new hairdryer. I really wanted one that had a diffuser perfect for everyday
volume and curls. I've only used my hairdryer once but I really like it so far
and is definitely a lot more powerful than the travel hairdryer I've been using
over the past few months.
I also received four books this year, all
of which I had asked for so was super happy when I opened them. My future
Listography is such a cute book that allows you to make lists of things you
want to achieve, see or do in the future. With Heath Ledger being my favourite
actor of all time, I was really happy when I found this biography online. I've
only had it a few days now and I'm nearly halfway through. He really was one of
the most amazing, talented and intriguing actors. I initially found 'Quiet: The
power of Introverts' while reading Glamour. It seemed like the perfect book for
someone who is naturally extremely shy and introverted. The final, and by far
the biggest book was the 'My Life Story'. It’s basically a huge journal that
can be filled with all the different adventures and memories throughout your
life along with space for pictures.
Finally, if you read my blog often you
will also know that I really love Soap and Glory products and am keen to try
out as many as I can. I've never tried their shampoo and conditioner before so
was more than happy to get these. Also, who doesn't love an easy pump body
wash?!
